The Berkeley Institute for Data Science is hosting their annual Text Analysis Across Domains conference! With a focus on interdisciplinary theory and practice of text analyses, there is something for everyone on the docket.

The main event will be hosted over three days:

  • Thursday, Dec. 10th: Invited speakers, panel, research talks
  • Friday, Dec. 11th: Invited speakers, panel, research talks
  • Saturday, Dec. 12th: Closing remarks and award ceremony

Applications to present lightning talks are open until November 15th!

In addition to the conference talks, there will be a 48-hour hackathon focusing on this year’s theme of “Law and Society.” Participants will be cooperatively analyzing an archive of texts from investigative reporting on the subject of police misconduct.
