The Health Data Science and Systems Research & Learning Cluster is meeting this Friday, October 30th, 10:30am-noon to hear from Dr. Vladimir Filkov about interdisciplinary data science in the healthcare sphere.

Dr. Vladimir Filkov will lead a guided discussion on launching new projects using health data and how to support them. There will be a special emphasis on interdisciplinary research, and the elements successful projects share.

The meeting is open to all members of the UC Davis community, though it is focused towards faculty, graduate students, and staff. No pre-registration required. Dr. Filkov is a Professor of Computer Science at UC Davis and the DataLab’s Faculty Director for Translational Data Science. His research focuses on empirically improving software engineering, systems biology and gener networks in plants, as well as applied network theory.
