Heart made out of circuits, with the names of all University of California campuses.

In February UC Davis DataLab joined forces with 10 data organizations from across the UC system to offer the second annual UC Love Data Week 2022. During this week the UCs hosted 31 presentations and workshops with over 2,500 registrants. These training activities covered all things data – from access, management, and organization to ethics, collaboration, security, and preservation – as well as data science technologies and methods.

DataLab taught nine sessions on topics including map-building with Leaflet, version control and GitHub, working with textual data in Python, and the conceptual model behind the R programming language. In collaboration with UCSF, DataLab also hosted a Data Feminism Book Club meetup, a workshop on software management for data science projects with UC Merced and Riverside, and contributed to an introduction to HPC session run by students at Berkeley. In total, DataLab-hosted events engaged 732 registrants from across the UCs and beyond.
