Below is a link to the slides from the workshop offered by DSL Director Carl G. Stahmer on April 8, 2016 at the UC Davis Data Science Initiative. The workshop is a down and dirty introduction to the Unix command line and the Git version control system. Non-comprehensive be design, it is designed to give persons with no development and/or programming experience a basic set of skills that are prerequisite to embarking down the road of computational analysis.
